Eeeek! It's getting soooo close! I hear you on wanting to avoid the holiday. I REALLY didn't want my babies born on December 24th or 25th! I wanted them to be able to have their own day, and alas, they were born on the 23rd. I think just waiting to see what happens is an excellent birth plan. There can be so many variables, and truly, it just doesn't even matter as long as baby and mama are safe. I also had no birth plan apart from hoping to avoid a c-section, which obviously didn't happen so it's probably really good I didn't bother coming up with anything more detailed. I hope whatever you do goes a smoothly as possible. I can't wait for you to meet little Jate! (Also, side note, Q was actually conceived on July 4th as that was the day of the donor's retrieval and fertilization, although I don't think we'll be actually calling any attention to that fact by celebrating it.)Aramishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12275274008426941898noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2808830305872285145.post-19327677589927802152015-06-18T16:28:21.448-07:002015-06-18T16:28:21.448-07:00Husband's birthday is 9/11, so when he moved h...Husband's birthday is 9/11, so when he moved here, he wanted to celebrate on November 9th as 11-9 is the English way to write the date. The part of me that knows I need to nice to my in-laws for Jate's sake wants to be sensitive to them, but my true inner self takes a little pleasure in knowing it would piss them off! Yes, very cool always having fireworks on your birthday, plus he/she always gets the day off when working! jAllenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06282963869813954232noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2808830305872285145.post-14308987611933594492015-06-18T15:53:45.512-07:002015-06-18T15:53:45.512-07:00It's so great that you even have options right...It's so great that you even have options right now considering how dire it all seemed in the beginning. I hope that you have a good experience no matter how Jate comes into the world. I can't believe how close it is now!
Also, I don't think you are silly to want to avoid a july 4th birthday. I was first admitted to the hospital on 9/11 and I told my OB he could not deliver those babies that day. Obviously different reasons, but still valid to want to avoid significant dates. However, think of how much money you save on birthday party entertainment. Jate would always get fireworks!JenShttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00056681492831041470noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2808830305872285145.post-70682319350928374762015-06-18T11:59:39.360-07:002015-06-18T11:59:39.360-07:00You're facing a lot of variables and honestly ...You're facing a lot of variables and honestly I think you've done as much planning as you possibly can! Now just to take things as they come, monitor your health and Jate's and hope for the best while responding to the changing situation. I've probably said it before, but I think it better to have intentions rather than plans. You've gotten this far, the news is better than you dared hope a few weeks ago: you can get through the rest of it and make good decisions. Whatever happens you will have feelings about it, maybe ones that will surprise you. But I truly think with your level head and educated perspective, you will be fine.torthĂșilhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07738803052167620020noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2808830305872285145.post-16489018527279937212015-06-18T10:35:12.045-07:002015-06-18T10:35:12.045-07:00I don't have a plan and to be honest haven'...I don't have a plan and to be honest haven't even thought about it. I knew that I was headed for a C-section anyway but because I had no expectations or plans the birthing process went perfectly! There are too many variables these days and truly, the more that I think about it, does something like not clamping the cord immediately REALLY make that much of a difference?

I'm getting excited for you! I can't believe Jate will be here so soon! :-)Non Sequitur Chicahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07268138421234170972noreply@blogger.com
